P.A.W.S. - Pet Adoption & Welfare System.It does what it says on the box.Animal shelters generally operate on low budgets and often on low technology. Using friends, relatives or volunteers to maintain websites does not always result in the best presence and leaves the smaller shelters fragmented on the web. It makes them difficult to find and it leaves the animals who they care for so well, with less hope of adoption. P.A.W.S seeks to become a part of the solution. A zero cost option which allows the shelters to list themselves on-line and to add their animals. This will allow anyone with a web browser access to see them. Shelter owners can add their shelters and, as attachments, their policies, adoption forms, directions and whatever else needs to be added. They have a text area in which they can describe their shelter and, once approved, they have full rights to edit. Animals can be added to approved shelters, edited, have attachments included and even have a log of events (for cage management) and access online health records if required. P.A.W.S. is a solution which is designed to grow with the shelters. This is the basic system. Other options may be developed as sufficient requirements become apparent. All free to the shelter owners and the public.
